We board the luxurious Kennebec 2 for the 40 minute ride to our put in point.

Funny Garb

The team poses in front of our rafts for our mandatory team photo. There seems to be a school of thought now that I organize these events just so I can dress them up in funny garb.

The Cabin

The cabin is quite cozy, but feature only one bathroom. Terry, the only women gets one of two bedrooms on the ground floor. The snorers are banished to the second floor dormitory style bunks. We arrive in time to watch the end of the Soxs game.

Our Camp

Because it is late in the season we virtually have the camp to ourselves. All nine of us share the cabin on the right.

Saltwater Grille

We dined at the Saltwater Grille, overlooking the harbor. I was able to get myself and our setting in the photo by shooting through the window.

Portland Waterfront

To break up the travel we stopped for a nice dinner in Portland. We arrived a little early for our reservation and took a nice walk down to the waterfront.

Video Van

Once a year, I organize a team building event for my management team. I rarely give advanced notice of what we will be doing or where we will be going. This year we made a 5 hour trek to raft the Kennebec River in northern Maine. I rented a 12 passenger van and assigned our hardware guy the task of fitting it with a DVD player and screen. I was expecting a little 9 inch screen combo player. Instead we were treated to a cinematic wide screen rolling theater.
