Seat Cushion

Maya as a seating cushion.

Driving to Net

Nico drives past a defender at the top of the box to score a goal late in the game helping his team to a 3-0 win against Winchester. It was a beatiful hard drive to the low corner.

Maya & Lydia

Lydia is spending the night with Maya and the two devised a number of poses they thought I might like. Many involved feats of great strength. They will be dissappointed to learn I picked this photo for posting because neither one of them was upside down.

Flute Practice

Nicolai is really starting to sound quite good and has concluded that he can still play with his newly installed braces.

New Braces

Nicolai showing off his new braces. Unfortunately they are quite uncomfortable at the moment and Nicolai is having to suffer through the adjustment period.

Magnolias in Bloom

The magnolias across the street are in full bloom. Spring has arrived.

Sole Heron

A Blue Heron shot at the Rookerie off Rt. 2.  Not the best light or image quality but I am always happy to catch one on the nest.

Patriot’s Day Parade

Patriot’s Day in Concord (the birthplace of the American Revolution) is very serious business. Marching in the same parade (over a 4 mile route) this group of slightly less fearsome Brownies including Maya and cousin Rachel.

Egg Hunt

It wouldn’t be Easter without an egg hunt.

Big Air

The kids catching some big air on the trampoline.

Maya and Crew

Maya and friends at an Easter Day party.

Rhubarb Pie

We have been invited to friend’s for Easter Sunday. Jeanine prepared this strawberry rhubarb pie from scratch. For many in the house, dinner can not start too early today.

Little Princess

My little princess.

Cheering Section

Spectating from the sidelines were Nicolai’s aunt Alissa, uncle John, cousin Johnny, and Kyle.

Season Opener

Nicolai’s soccer team opened their season today with a thrilling come from behind 5-4 victory. Nicolai had an assist which he made by passing the ball through his defenders legs directly to an open man in front of the net. It was very sweet.

Hand Me Down

Maya and Rachel hanging out in the back yard. Maya is wearing a beautiful hand-me-down from her cousin who is visiting with her family for the weekend.

Rain Gear

I believe there is no such thing as a bad weather day if you dress appropriately. Here, Maya is demonstrating that today’s rain is not going to keep her from going out to play.

Birthday Girl

When I returned home, it was time to celebrate Jeanine’s birthday. The family went to Serafina’s for dinner followed by an incredibly rich, chocolate mouse cake at home for dessert.

Portsmouth

I woke up at the crack of dawn to do some exploring and came upon a number of wonderful photo opportunities in the Portsmouth area.

Wentworth by the Sea

I took my management team for a 2-day offsite meeting at Wentworth by the Sea in New Hampshire. The hotel was magnificent overlooking the ocean on the front side and a bay on the back side.

Belizian Golf

This evening was my choice for family night. We played Belizian golf in which a heavy pendulum suspended between your legs by a string wrapped around your waist substitutes for a club. You are not allowed to touch the string and must “swing the club” by gyrating your hips in just the right way. The idea is to strick the ball, a grapefruit, in this case, until it rests on top of a small target.

Salem

Kyle had a soccer game in Salem this afternoon which resulted in an exciting, come from behind, 2-1 win. Seen above driving over the top of a defender, Kyle played a great game at center midfield. This year his teammates voted him captain of the team. Before the game I got a chance to tour the historic downtown area. Pictured here is the Friendship of Salem. Earlier in the day my team opened the season with a hard fought win over Shrewsbury. I scored a very sweet header with 5 minutes left for the go ahead goal in our 2-1 win.

Young Man

Maya is not the only photogenic child in the family. Kyle is looking more and more like a man every day.

Cute Take Two

There are some subjects I never tired of photographing. One day I hope the kids will look back at the constant photographic intrusion into their lives and appreciate having so many windows into their childhood.

Lovely Child

How much cuter can a child be?

Nice Shades

Jeanine is sporting a pair of sunglasses I have not seen before. I think she looks quite glamorous.

Mattison Field

The light on Mattison Field as I passed it on the way home from work motivated me to pull over and capture an image. Surely, this will be the last time snow is seen here until next winter.

Flints Pond Pump House

Serving the town of Lincoln, I believe this small building houses a pump.

Codman Farm

We also toured the adjacent Codman Farm and were treated to all manner of fine feathered and wool bearing creatures.

Codman Estate

Jeanine and I had a few hours to ourselves this afternoon and we decided to visit the Codman Estate in Lincoln. This home remained in one family for five generations before it was preserved as a historic site.

Nice Doggy

Maya is attending a costume birthday party later today. Woof, woof.
