Later in the day, Maya and Sachi set up a Lemonade and Craft stand. They made several dollars using a variety of aggressive sales tactics. Saying no to these two girls was simply not an option for most passers-by.
Today, Nicolai did not feel well, so I stayed home with him while the rest of the crew went sea kayaking on Chappaquiddick. Nicolai polished off the latest Harry Potter book.
Tomorrow, the family heads off to Martha’s Vineyard for a four day vacation with friends. Once again I will try to post daily if I can gain access to the internet. If not, expect a bunch of photos next Monday.
On morning two, I went north up the coast to Perkins Cove. I found a great vantage point on a drawbridge from which I captured the entire fishing fleet.
I just returned from a three day executive retreat which was held at the Cliff House in Ogunquit, Maine. We worked almost non stop but I was able to get out each morning at the crack of dawn to take some photos.
Today, Maya assisted me as I finished building the front door to her play house. Only the hardware and paint remain. I am happy just to share her company while I am working, but when she anticipates the next tool I will need and has it ready to hand to me, I am overwhelmed with pride and joy.
This weekend is the Tomato and Corn Festival down at Verrill’s Farm. Dozens and dozens of varieties to sample. Maya rode a pony, but I missed the shot (and am not too happy about that).
