We have been invited to friend’s for Easter Sunday. Jeanine prepared this strawberry rhubarb pie from scratch. For many in the house, dinner can not start too early today.
Nicolai’s soccer team opened their season today with a thrilling come from behind 5-4 victory. Nicolai had an assist which he made by passing the ball through his defenders legs directly to an open man in front of the net. It was very sweet.
Maya and Rachel hanging out in the back yard. Maya is wearing a beautiful hand-me-down from her cousin who is visiting with her family for the weekend.
I believe there is no such thing as a bad weather day if you dress appropriately. Here, Maya is demonstrating that today’s rain is not going to keep her from going out to play.
When I returned home, it was time to celebrate Jeanine’s birthday. The family went to Serafina’s for dinner followed by an incredibly rich, chocolate mouse cake at home for dessert.
I took my management team for a 2-day offsite meeting at Wentworth by the Sea in New Hampshire. The hotel was magnificent overlooking the ocean on the front side and a bay on the back side.
This evening was my choice for family night. We played Belizian golf in which a heavy pendulum suspended between your legs by a string wrapped around your waist substitutes for a club. You are not allowed to touch the string and must “swing the club” by gyrating your hips in just the right way. The idea is to strick the ball, a grapefruit, in this case, until it rests on top of a small target.
Kyle had a soccer game in Salem this afternoon which resulted in an exciting, come from behind, 2-1 win. Seen above driving over the top of a defender, Kyle played a great game at center midfield. This year his teammates voted him captain of the team. Before the game I got a chance to tour the historic downtown area. Pictured here is the Friendship of Salem. Earlier in the day my team opened the season with a hard fought win over Shrewsbury. I scored a very sweet header with 5 minutes left for the go ahead goal in our 2-1 win.
