People in these parts take Patriots Day seriously. The Old North Bridge is where the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World” was fired and marked the beginning of the Revolutionary War. Just as the Minutemen did 251 years ago, local re-enactors take their jobs seriously, and our parade features colonial militia from many nearby towns. The British Red Coats are equally well represented. It is harder to thematically connect some of the other parade participants, but here in Concord, everyone is welcome.
